    | Exclusive Champagne
    Bar by Veuve Clicquot
 Cunard Line
and the world famous Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin have agreed to create an
elegant Champagne Bar aboard Cunard’s brand new, $780-million flagship Queen
Mary 2, which is currently under construction in France.

The new 64-seat venue will be Veuve Clicquot’s first and only venture on a
cruise line. Located in the fashionable Mayfair Shops area of the ship, the
Veuve Clicquot Bar will feature a variety of Champagne, as well as a menu
    including caviar and foie gras.

According to Cécile Bonnefond, president of Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin, “We’re
delighted that the house of Veuve Clicquot will be featured aboard Cunard’s
sensational Queen Mary 2. We have every confidence that the Veuve Clicquot
Champagne Bar will be a superb addition to this great new liner.”

“Veuve Clicquot has a rich history and tradition of offering the very finest
quality to its patrons,” said Deborah Natansohn, senior vice president of
sales and marketing for Cunard Line. “We’re thrilled that Queen Mary 2 will
add to her list of ‘firsts,’ a shipboard Veuve Clicquot Champagne Bar.”

    | Champagne of world renown Clicquot, one of Champagne’s oldest and most prestigious houses, sold in
more than 120 countries, was founded in 1772 by Philippe Clicquot. His son,
François, married Nicole Barbe-Ponsardin in 1798. In 1805 Madame Clicquot
was widowed at the age of 27. In only in four months' time she assembled the
capital to assume control of the business.  In a Europe torn apart by
Napoleon's wars, with French ports at times blockaded, Veuve (Widow)
Clicquot managed to ship her champagnes to London and Russia, and she presented
them in all the great European courts.  She was involved in the
innovation of new production methods that are still used today in the
productions of all champagnes. She bought plots of land in the best
vineyards: Bouzy, Verzy and Verzenay (near Reims), Avize, and the
Mesnil-sur-Oger in the Côte des Blancs. When she died in 1866, at the age of
89, Madame Clicquot left behind an empire devoted to the enjoyment of fine
food and wine. The motto--“Only one
quality, the finest” ("une seule qualité, la toute première")--is still the foundation upon which Veuve Clicquot
Ponsardin has built its international reputation.

    trademark 150-year-old yellow/orange label--introduced by Madame Clicquot
herself--is now one of the most famous champagnes in the world. Choose
between the stunning Brut Carte Jaune, the legendary demi-sec, or the
prestigious cuvée, 'La Grande Dame' named after the great lady herself.
